Privacy Policy

Hirely Global Ltd (‘Hirely’, ‘we’, ‘us’) operates hire-ly.co.uk, a UK job platform that matches international professionals with UK employers who hold active visa sponsor licences. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Our ICO registration number is ICO:00014283360.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed, never stored in plain text)
• CV and profile data: work history, education, skills, job titles, languages, professional links you choose to include in your uploaded CV
• Search and usage data: job searches, filters applied, jobs viewed, jobs saved, match scores generated
• Payment data: billing name, last four digits of card. Full card details are processed and stored by Stripe, not by Hirely.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referral URL, session data
• Communications: emails you send to us, support ticket content

We do not intentionally collect special category data (race, ethnicity, health, religion, political views, sexual orientation). If your CV contains such information, we ask that you remove it before uploading. We do not extract or store special category data from CVs.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your CV or profile with employers without your explicit consent. We share data with the following categories of third parties solely to operate the platform:

• Stripe Inc: payment processing. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy
• Cloud hosting provider: [Vercel / AWS / insert actual provider] for platform infrastructure
• Email service provider: [Resend / Loops / insert actual provider] for transactional and marketing emails
• Analytics provider: [insert if using] for anonymised usage analytics

All third parties are required to handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR through Data Processing Agreements.

Some of our service providers operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK ICO.

• Account data: retained while your account is active, then deleted within 90 days of account closure
• CV data: retained while your account is active. You can delete your CV at any time from your account settings
• Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by UK financial regulations
• Usage data: retained for 24 months, then anonymised
• Inactive accounts: accounts with no login for 24 consecutive months will receive a deletion warning email. If no response within 30 days, the account and all associated data will be deleted

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights. To exercise any of them, email privacy@hire-ly.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

• Right of access: request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Right to erasure: ask us to delete your data. You can also delete your account directly from settings
• Right to restrict processing: ask us to pause processing your data
• Right to data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interest, including direct marketing
• Right to withdraw consent: withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use of Hirely after changes constitutes acceptance.
